In this workshop we will demonstrate the capabilities of the TranSiesta software for modelling the electrical properties of nanosized systems. The TranSiesta package can be used to model the electrical properties of a wide range of systems, including metal-insulator-semiconductor interfaces, organic materials, molecular devices, nanotubes, interfaces, etc, and the workshop will illustrate how atomic scale insight on the electrical properties of these systems can be obtained with the software. Besides determining the current/voltage characteristics of the devices, the TranSiesta software can show the voltage drop and the electrical pathways through the nanostructures.
